Honoured by IHRC: Awarded the CIVIS MUNDI Order and Appointed IHRC Peace Ambassador

One of Brazil’s and the world’s most celebrated footballers was officially honored yesterday by the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) with the prestigious CIVIS MUNDI SUM – Citizen of the World Order.

One of Brazil’s and the world’s most celebrated footballers was officially honored yesterday by the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) with the prestigious CIVIS MUNDI SUM – Citizen of the World Order.
The award ceremony took place on the eve of the historic Brazil–Poland match at the renowned Stadion ?l?ski. The order was personally presented by IHRC Secretary General, Gen. Rafa? Marcin Wasik, widely recognized for his humanitarian and diplomatic efforts around the world, particularly in conflict zones such as the Gaza Strip.
The football legend was recognized for his:
• selfless charitable work supporting starving and disabled children,
• assistance to ill and forgotten athletes,
• dedication to preserving the legacy of football legends like Pelé,
• and admiration for Saint John Paul II the Great, a devoted supporter of the Cracovia football club.

During the ceremony, the athlete also accepted the honorary title of IHRC Peace Ambassador, pledging to promote peace and human rights on the international stage through sport, culture, and social engagement.
In his remarks, Gen. Wasik emphasized that “individuals like him bring honor to the Republic of Poland by promoting the values of solidarity, sacrifice, and human dignity.”

In the coming weeks, IHRC will extend the CIVIS MUNDI Order to other distinguished spiritual and global figures:
• posthumously to Saint John Paul II,
• to His Holiness Leon XIV,
• to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia,
• to His Eminence Cardinal Stanis?aw Dziwisz,
• and to His Excellency Archbishop Abel.
